BOSCONET PAYS UTTARAKHAND CHILDREN’S SCHOOL FEES: Fr. MC George sdb, Director, Salesian Procure for South Asia

BOSCONET PAYS UTTARAKHAND CHILDREN’S SCHOOL FEES

Don Bosco has only a counselling centre in Uttarakhand, no school nor college; but, Don Bosco institutions elsewhere in the country, mainly those of the Bengal region, raised funds to help the people of Uttarakhand affected by the recent calamity.

To help the primary target group of Don Bosco – needy children – BOSCONET has just paid the school fees of 213 children, whose documentation is already complete. This is just the first stage of this programme. Details are being collected of many more children in need.

BOSCONET gives only Rs 250/- per child per month as school fees, no matter how high their total fees might be. This ensures that more children receive help and those better-off do not receive more than their poorer counterparts.

Donors are invited to sponsor a child for a year by contributing Rs 3,000/-.
