Don’t Give up!!!
As a young boy, Winston Churchill was a failure in school as he always stammered in class. This good for nothing kid tried to become a soldier. But they rejected him, finding him not smart. He tried the Political arena. But, when he began to address the House of Commons, the members walked out due to his boring speech. He didn’t withdraw into his own shell or blame others for his lack of skills. Instead, he began to practice loud in the hall speaking to empty chairs, without giving up hope of becoming an orator someday. He had a stubborn determination to achieve success.
And he did achieve his impossible dream. The boring and weak young man became some years later the powerful Prime Minister of Britain and a great orator. When he was asked once about his secret of success, he merely uttered, “: “Never, never, never give up in life.”
When you encounter challenges in life, face with courage and determination as there is the innate God given potential in you to excel. Be reminded of the promises of God through the prophet: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11.
Are you ready for tough decisions in life?
Don’t ever give up!!!
Failures are stepping stones to success!!!
Years back, I had two Class 12 Naga students in hostel, who happened to fail in the final exams. Being excellent in behaviour, I allowed them to continue in the hostel. In the first year of their BSc, both of them happen to fail again. They never managed to get through JE Exams for professional courses. However, things began to change as they continued with determination, hard work and Divine blessings.
Believe it not!!!
One of them went on to do his PhD and is today a Scientist in USA, while the other is a successful MD in London.
Some of you may be in the same situation in life… Never give up!!! Trust in yourself and God, and keep making effort. You will see miracles happen in your life as Churchill used to say, “ Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.”
